MALE ↕↕ METAL ENGINEERED WOLF ↕↕ 2½ YEARS ↕↕ BRAVE YET SCARED
“Being brave does not mean you are fearless. No, it means you must have fears, because being brave means not showing your fears.”
- Ⓝame┊Ragal is this boy's name. This name was decided by the past owner and I actually like it. As far as I know, there is no reason behind it, just that it sounds nice.
- Ⓖender┊Ragal is a small male that would look even tinier without his metal. It makes him look tougher, when in the past some made fun of his puny looks. He doesn't act specifically male or female, though it does lean more on the male side.
- Ⓐge┊Ragal is two years, six months old. In common terms this is two and a half years. He acts fairly mature for his age, though he can slip up and act like a complete goofball. For the most part he's able to get a grip and stay serious.
Ⓕamily┊Ragal was deposited at the front of the county veterinarian's office at such a young age he has no memory of any family member. Sometimes he pretends like he has a family by sitting down and talking to the air, imaging responses from a sister. He doesn't know it, but he actually did have a sister. She was dropped off with him at the same facility, though they could not save her. No one ever told him of how his father trekked across town with the two pups that had been hit by a car, leaving them there without a goodbye. Somewhere Ragal has two sisters.
“If you stay clueless, you are one of the few geniuses left in this world.”
- Ⓟersonality┊Ragal is a nervous introvert, often spending time by himself. He wishes he could find a friend or family that would accept him, though other wolves seem to see his armor and turn tail. Sometimes it's because they are scared of him, other times they just don't want to meet him. He's dead set on no one wants to be seen with a "loser" like himself. While he seems a bit like a scaredy cat, he can easily stand up to something scary, as long as he doesn't know what it is. If he can't see it, it's easy for him to shout at it and attack. The second he sees it, he realizes it's reality and will stop. If he wishes to speak to someone, he will rarely look at them. The most he'll do is stare at their feet, but most of the time his eyes wander to his own feet or off to the sides. When you get the chance to talk to him, he is a great listener and often gives advice. Sometimes he'll crack a joke and they're usually offensive or funny, though he tries not to let them slip.
Ⓛikes┊Ragal likes bugs, grass, green things, paint, and his bandanna. He likes bugs because sometimes he speaks to them too. The grass feels nice under his paws and he loves rolling around in it. From his love of grass, his favorite color is green, so he likes green things. He really likes paint and viewing artwork. Among everything, he loves the bandanna he always wears around his forehead. They gave it to him at the vet and he originally used it as a baby blanket.
Ⓓislikes┊Ragal doesn't like big things, water or loneliness. Big things make him look tiny so he doesn't like being around one. He really doesn't like swimming because he feels like he's going to sink and the waves will swallow him. Another thing he doesn't like is loneliness. To avoid it, he speaks to the air and a fake likeliness of his sister just as he remembers her, as a pup. Sometimes he even talks to bugs and pretends they talk back to him, making fake responses in his head.
Ⓢtrengths┊Ragal is incredibly creative, creating stories and making pictures in the dirt and on walls with ease. He's also got a very large vocabulary, as he is rather smart. If you need a plan, he's a great strategist. Plus he'll stand up to anyone and anything if he can't see them.
Ⓦeaknesses┊Ragal has many social problems. His best friend can't even talk to him, because he has fake conversations with things that aren't real. If he wants to talk to someone, he has to stare at the ground or away so that he doesn't get scared. When he wants to look tough but still not see someone, he pushes his red bandanna so it covers his eyes while he speaks so that he can't be intimidated.
Ⓕears┊Ragal has a fear of becoming lonely, which is why his mind has created so many fake playmates. He's scared of things larger than him, and there are many things like that. That's the reason he has no friends; every different playmate is a small, simple, harmless creature. He's also been known to talk to the air or to bugs that he finds.
“When I look back, I trip, so I just keep looking forward.”
- Ⓜemories┊Ragal remembers very little of his life before becoming metal engineered. Without knowing it, he has remembered the looks of his sister, who was hit by the same car as him. In his head, she has not grown up at all. He calls her his little sister, though if she were still alive they would be the same age. After the surgery was done on him, he remembers being raised by a dog. She and her pups were much larger than him and at the first chance he got, he ran off. There are few things to remember after that, but he does remember when, around his second month of freedom, he began talking to the "little sister". A few months after that, he imaged other friends. That was when he began thinking of bugs as his friends.
Ⓟast┊When Ragal and his siblings were three weeks old, they were allowed to go out of their den for the first time. Excited, he and his sister, who were best friends, wandered around together. Somehow they ended up far away from the pack, by a road where loud machines rolled by. There was a sparkly lake on the other side and they eagerly started over to it. From behind them there were howls and barks, so they stopped walking and looked back. Their father was running towards them, crazy-eyed. They looked around to figure out why and they found one of the machines coming quickly down the road. The pair split up, running in opposite direction. Before anyone could reach them, the car rolled over them.
Ragal was lying on the ground, his midsection, forepaws and the left back paw throbbing with a certain numbness. He rose his head slightly to look around and he found, lying on the other side of the road, his sister. "Babe... babe, come on, wake up." his father was saying frantically. He had been the one to babysit them, and he had let two of the four get bowled over by a car. Their sisters were sitting on the edge of the road, faces frozen in fear. The larger of the two was shaking, looking all around. The adult turned to them and, in a raspy voice, gave them an order. "Go to the den. Say nothing." he demanded. They turned tail and fled as quickly as their small legs would allow them. His eyes turned to a young Ragal and nudged him. When he responded by standing, wobbling, the male gestured to follow him. He then picked up the girl and they began walking. They walked along the road together. "Where are we going?" the pup asked, dragging his back foot along behind him. His front paws were marred as well, though not as bad. There was no response other than a solid glare and slight growl from his father. Silent, they walked on. It was hours of uncomfortable things like paws hurting and feeling thirsty before his father stopped them. He instructed he stay with his sister's limp body right there, on a smooth rock with a soft mat on it. After barking at the door, he darted away. Large, furless paws came from above and picked up the body next to him, and another on picked him up. They received shots, and it all went black.

The vets stood around the table where the pups lie, knocked out. A larger team focused on the female and a smaller, more inexperienced one poked at him. "What do we do?!" a woman cried, distressed by the mangled puppies. A little boy sat at a desk, reading a book. "I wish we had robots in real life..." he thought aloud. That thought was something he often preached, and until then it had been greatly ignored."Genius! What better than to replace skin and bone than metal?!" she announced. Anxiously, she called a metal shop while her top assistant phoned for scientists. With an entire troop assembled in the office, they worked on finding a way to design a robot. Inside the room, a few veterinarians remained to try to keep them alive. While they worked on maintaining the heartbeat and keeping them breathing, they worked furiously in the other room. After nearly two long days of hard contemplation, they had managed to keep them alive and find a solution. Stitches had not worked, the wounds had just reopened over and over again. Now they rushed the two into surgery and began their master plan.
---
Ragal woke up, feeling no more pain. After the sun had set twice, he was finally out of his misery. Looking around, he was in a small, enclosed area. He pawed the door, letting out cries, when he noticed his paws were no longer paws. They were covered in something silver and shiny. He looked at his back paws and found only one was it's normal brown color. Using that back right leg, he touched the others. They were cold, and so was his stomach, leading him to the conclusion that it too was covered in the material. A face was right outside his cafe, startling him. He jumped to the back, watching it. A paw reached in and pulled him out, emerging him into new surroundings. White walls and a shiny table were the most noticeable to him. Next to where he had been staying was a box. They looked into it and he found his sister's body lying there. He began wagging his tail excitedly, trying to squirm off the hand to her. "I'm sorry we couldn't get to you in time." she kissed her fingertips and touched the head of his sister before they turned around, Ragal still desperately trying to reach his sibling, and started walking. He felt himself beginning to move down, so he turned and began looking around frantically. There was a big dog with her own big pups sitting in a pen. His eyes widened and he began trying to scamper up the long arm that tried to leave him there. A little boy wandered over just as he was put in the cage. Distracted by the human child, a large golden pup bowled him over. "What're you? Some kind of... lizard? Or a snake?" he spat. "Play nice, you know we take care of the misfits." the mother scolded him. Ragal walked dejectedly off to the side as the pup said, "I wouldn't want to be seen with that thing." before retreating. The boy wrapped the puppy upin the blanket. "There you go robot puppy." he said happily, patting his head before turning and leaving. Confused at this new thing he was enveloped in, he put his tail between his legs and lied down.
---
Three months passed and Ragal was finally granted access to the outdoors. The tiny bit of cloth he had earlier used as a blanket had recently become a headband, by the young boy's making, and he wore it proudly around. At first, the larger pups would mock him, but now they just ignored him. If he ever asked for something or said something, they would shun him by hitting him in the face with their tail and leaving. That taught him to just stay silent, no matter how much he wished to speak. Seeing a large bone, he eagerly bounced over, pouncing on it and chewing on one end. That was when the vet's hand descended in and shooed him away, picking up the bone. "Now now silly puppy, we don't want you to choke." her sickly voice almost mocked him. When she put it away from him, the other pups seemed to sense that he wanted it, so they ran over and chewed it themselves despite having shown no interest beforehand. He put his head down and let his paws drag on the ground as he walked away. That was when he saw a gate. There was a small gap between the gate and the actual fence, too small for any of the others to get through. He looked around to see if anyone would notice his departure... except for the young boy who had recently began ignoring him, no one had ever talked to him except to get on to him for doing something bad or being something "bad". He sprinted towards it and leaped through, heading towards the first refuge he saw; trees. It didn't look like it did when he had first arrived to the building, so he had no clue which was his old pack was. As far as he were concerned, they weren't even in the same world. He would become a loner. While they were usually looked down upon, there was no where else he could go. With no more claws except for on one paw, no pack would want him. His looks were odd and he had a difficult time hunting. Diving into the bushes and trees, the lush foliage consumed him. He started walking further into the forest, looking for anything of help.
Ⓟresent┊Ragal currently lives in the forest. He doesn't have a permanent home, as he gets chased away every time he tries to settle somewhere. Because three of his four legs are robotic, he has great difficulty in hunting. He can catch slow things or unsuspecting creatures, but usually he just scavenges. Usually these catches are on a pack's territory, so he'll sneak on, using his three artificial legs to press harder and lightly using his fourth for support. It helps not leave any clear tracks. He'll eat enough of the catch to fill himself up at least half the way, just enough so that it'll be hardly noticeable.
Ⓗome┊Ragal is a nomad, moving around almost every night. Sometimes he can stay somewhere for a week, but that's very rare. Most the time he digs a discreet small hole to seek refuge in until daylight comes. He hates being around lakes, so he drinks from puddles and small streams he can find.
Ⓦishes┊Ragal's biggest wish is to find someone that cares for him. Talking to his imaginary friends is fulfilling enough to him, but he wants someone that will stand by his side, hug him and take a blow. He knows that his mind will not be able to occupy him forever. Another wish of his is to find a group. He wants a group of wolves or even just creatures that will care for each other. His family makes him curious too, and he wants to meet them. The only memory he has of them is his dead, dear sister lying in the box.
Ⓕuture┊Ragal has no plans for the future. He's been trying to meet others, but it's hard when he can't even look at them past their feet.
