SᴀᴛᴜƦɴ
Ghostie's Home Page
Whether named after the sixth planet from the sun or the Roman god of agriculture, this ghostie's name is Saturn. She's a decently sized canine, having always been the big kid growing up, but when the ghosts came a part of her, she seemed to slow in growth. Since Saturn is the second largest planet, perhaps her name comes from that. Maybe there was an omen indicating her size. Or, perhaps, a love for space gave her this name. It could be a hope that one day the young girl would grow to be close to the earth. Whatever the reasoning, Saturn is at ease with her name-she wouldn't change it if she had the chance.

- Saturn is easy-going, passive and a bit shy. She fears she'll be rejected for her "condition". What she can manage with band-aids is taken care of, but the ghosts pop out of her chest and from above her eye. The cavities she got came from a fight for territory. All over, they moved in. At first she was unnerved and scared of herself. By now, she's learned to grow used to them. She even considers them her friends now. They may not say a lot, but they always lend an ear. She's pretty funny once she gets to know you. There's a shift that happens when she goes to talk to a friend. Most the time, she's much calmer, able to stand up for herself and can be sort of loud. She loses herself with them. Being shy means she has to get out all the energy she can with those who she knows accept her. When it comes time to meet and work with others, she's usually quiet and just does as instructed. Sometimes her team mates complain she's not helping. This comes from a distrust of herself. She fears she'll mess things up or annoy those in her group, so she generally just stay out of the picture. Being put on the spot for not being helpful gets her anxious. She'll often panic and sometimes she simply breaks down and steps out of the group completely. As she grows older, Saturn tries her best to make herself more sociable. She's not the most determined person in the world, but her ghosts surprisingly help her out. They make her feel like she has someone to stand by her. Overall, Saturn is a work in progress to herself.
- An average day birthed several young pups in a wild dog pack in Tennessee. One of them was a bright yellow girl given the name of Saturn. She was sweet and respectful, but generally stayed quiet and out of everyone's way. Her siblings were loud and took a lot of attention from their parents. She didn't mind and simply sharpened her skills by herself. As time went on and she grew, food was becoming an issue. The group was getting bigger and they were hungry. The time to fight with neighboring groups for territory was on their doorstep.
Quietly, a group padded out into the forest. "Get ready for red rain." one of the males remarked. It was damp, with mud squishing between their paws as they walked. Raindrops got their fur wet and drug them down. Saturn felt weight on her shoulders increasing with every step they took. She had a bad feeling. Never had she really fought before. She play-fought with the others for practice, but never had it been real. Somebody was going to get hurt or killed. She was very worried for the group. It didn't take long for them to reach the area in question. The previous day, they had marked it to claim it. They'd been instructed to head out on border patrol the next morning. With the sun peaking, light cast long shadows from the five canines and the trees of the forest. There wasn't anyone around. At first, Saturn thought they may get away with no problems. That was when the fighting started. A heavy wolf jumped on her packmate, and while everyone stood in shock, others came out to attack them. It was brutal but somehow, the dogs won. The wolves retreated off to camp and they were proud to find that this was now their territory. There would be more food for the young pups their mother had recently delivered.
Heading back to camp, Saturn didn't realize that her blood was replaced with ghost goo. It wasn't until the next morning that she found ghosts popping out of her chest and brow. At first, she was scared of them, but they weren't going anywhere. Anytime she looked down, they parted for her snout. They meant no harm. All they wanted was a body. To move around. They were the spirits of those that had been killed in fights before. There was a certain aura they felt about this specific creature that compelled them to her. They liked her. She liked them back, for they gave her a feeling of companionship. Her life changed to make room for them. She looted for bandages nearby to cover up a few holes where the more ornery ones dwelled and let the others, the ones living in the scars too large to conceal, do as they pleased. They worked with each other well. They were like family. A strange, unique family.
